Burbage Rocks in Autumn Mist & Sunshine

The view as I drove across Burbage Moor round the head of Burbage Brook this morning was spectacular. Burbage Brook despite it’s name is actually a glaciated valley with a little stream in the bottom of the valley and some imposing rock formations to either side.

It was almost 9 o’clock, around 7 degrees Celsius and the autumn sun had yet to burn of the mist which made the distant hills look like stage backdrops, each layer more greyed out than the last as your eye moved into the distance.

I had to stop and take a few snaps with my iPhone. Oh for a proper camera at moments like this!
